Configuring an application is always difficult if we have to specify port numbers. If you want to know what ports you can use to connect to a certain web site, Homysoft Port Scanner can help you. It is capable of scanning remote hosts for opened and closed ports. The application is designed to be very easy to use, even for beginners.

Homysoft Port Scanner is freeware and you don't have to go through an installation process before launching the application. Due to its small size, the executable can be downloaded and extracted in just a few seconds.

You can target a host by typing its name or IP address, on the left side of the interface. Additionally, you can set the application to scan a specific ports range and specify a number of threads. When you are done, you just need to click a button and the scanning process will start.

The results are displayed on the same window. You can select different tabs, if you want to view the results as plain text or in a tree structure, which includes more information. Besides the host's IP address, ports range and the time it takes to complete the scan, you can also find the opened and closed ports, in separate parent folders.
